The Department of Recreational Sports offers members of The Ohio State University community an extraordinary experience to live active and meaningful lives while on-campus. The Office of Student Life consists of more than 40 departments, all dedicated to creating the extraordinary student experience for every Ohio State Buckeye. Our foundational understanding that every student has a unique background and set of needs informs every program and service offered by our departments.
Nationally recognized as one of the most comprehensive in all of college athletics, the Ohio State Department of Athletics offers 36 intercollegiate sports and fosters a culture that provides the opportunity to develop our student-athletes through success in academics and competition to achieve excellence in life.
Through time and change, the Alumni Association enriches firm friendships among Buckeye alumni and The Ohio State University.
The mission of Special Olympics Ohio is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community. On Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, our Alumni Society will volunteer at the annual summer games held at The Ohio State University; a cause that was very close to J. Michael Dunn’s heart.
Pelotonia is an annual grassroots bicycle tour established to raise money for cancer research at the James.
